NEPS relocated to its current site on the corner of John Field Drive and Old Sale Road in 2000. The grounds were formerly Newborough High School.
At NEPS, Maths is a priority and the school has staff trained in the Patrick Griffins Professional Learning Teams (PLT) model. NEPS won a Gippsland Region Education Excellence Award for curriculum innovation in 2012 for its groundbreaking PLT work in the area of Maths.
Along with Maths, the school curriculum includes literacy learning, as well as programs in visual arts, science, and physical education. A range of extra activities provides all students with outstanding opportunities to discover, develop and expand their interests and skills.
The school’s motto ‘Forward Bound’ encapsulates the objectives of our community. As the school grows, it will continue to implement changes identified by the Strategic Plan, while endeavoring to retain a unique, supportive and stimulating environment.
In its active pursuit of excellence, Newborough East is indeed
